With the downturn in real estate values, now may be the time to apply for a tax abatement.  If you feel you are paying too much in taxes due to your property being assessed too high, maybe it is time to get it appraised by a certified residential appraiser to determine the fair market value of your property.  This way, you will know if you are assessed too high and paying too much in taxes.  Call me if you have any questions.
